How to clean PVCu windows & doors

Fortunately, PVCu windows and doors are very low maintenance, and even when they require some cleaning, the process is very simple and takes only 10 minutes.

For the cleaning you’ll need

  • A vacuum cleaner
  • Hot and soapy water
  • Clean water
  • Antibacterial solution in a spray bottle
  • Brush
  • Soft cloths

Start by cleaning the window and door frames.

  • Using a vacuum cleaner, vacuum around the frame, including all edges, grooves, and hinges to remove any accumulated dirt. Using the brush, sweep away any extra dust. With the use of warm, soapy water (for example, washing up liquid can be used) and a soft cloth, thoroughly wash down the frame, starting from the top, working your way down. Following this, with the use of clean water and a new cloth, wipe the frame down again. Lastly, with the use of a dry cloth this time, dry the frame in circular motions.

Continue with cleaning the window and door handles.

  • Using the antibacterial solution, preferably in a spray bottle, clean the handles regularly to get rid of unwanted germs and bacteria. If needed, dry the handles with a dry cloth.

And there you have it; new-looking PVCu windows and doors in only 2 steps.
